Job Summary
The Account Executive is a commercially focused role with direct ownership of client accounts and revenue growth within a fast-paced, high-growth premium serviced accommodation business.
You will manage a portfolio of clients, drive new and repeat business, and build long-term partnerships through proactive account management, data-led insights, and strong commercial awareness. This role suits someone with previous sales or account management experience who is motivated by targets, relationship building, and growth.
Working closely with Reservations, Operations, Marketing, and Property Acquisition, you will play a key role in converting opportunities into revenue and expanding client accounts across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Ownership & Relationship Management
- Own and manage day-to-day accounts, with a portfolio of corporate and agency accounts.
- Act as the primary point of contact, building trust through proactive communication and responsiveness.
- Understand client requirements, booking patterns, and growth potential.
- Conduct regular client check-ins and reviews to drive retention and satisfaction.
- Represent the business professionally in all client interactions.
- Sales & Revenue Growth
- Identify, develop, and convert sales opportunities within existing and new client accounts.
- Proactively promote new locations, properties, and services to drive account expansion.
- Support new business activity through outbound engagement, follow-ups, and proposal support.
- Work towards individual and team sales and revenue targets.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and take ownership of converting them.
- Data-Driven Performance Management
- Use CRM and internal systems to track pipeline activity, conversion rates, and client performance.
- Analyse enquiry trends, booking behaviour, and client data to identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and contribute insights to wider commercial reporting.
- Use data to prioritise activity and maximise commercial impact.
- Commercial & Operational Collaboration
- Work closely with Reservations to maximise conversion and ensure smooth booking delivery.
- Liaise with Operations, Guest Services, and Housekeeping to ensure client expectations are met.
- Collaborate with Marketing to support campaigns, proposals, and client communications.
- Share client and market insights with Property Acquisition to support demand-led expansion.
- Proposals, Onboarding & Account Development
- Prepare and present client proposals, rate agreements, and onboarding documentation.
- Support onboarding of new accounts, ensuring a smooth transition into operations and reservations.
- Ensure client details, agreements, and activity are accurately recorded in systems.
- Continuously look for ways to improve the client journey and commercial outcomes.
Skills, Experience & Attributes
Essential
- Previous experience in sales, business development, or client/account management.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Commercial mindset with a focus on revenue growth and opportunity identification.
- Confident communicator with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Data-driven, with the ability to use insight to guide activity and decisions.
- Highly organised and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Desirable
- Experience in serviced accommodation, hospitality, travel, or property sectors.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales pipelines.
- Knowledge of corporate travel, relocation, healthcare or insurance clients.
- Experience supporting or managing accounts across multiple UK locations.
