Job Summary

As we continue to grow as a multi-entity group, we are seeking a Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, oversee financial reporting, and support the development of robust processes across the group.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys operating in a fast-paced SME environment, balancing operational delivery with team leadership and continuous improvement. You will work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in driving financial performance, visibility, and scalability across the business.

The Role

The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the finance function, overseeing management reporting, and supporting strategic financial planning across multiple entities within the group.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple entities

Produce consolidated group reporting and performance analysis

Manage cashflow forecasting and ensure strong financial visibility across the group

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

 

Team Leadership & Operations

Manage and develop a small finance team (including transactional finance staff)

Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and controls

Ensure timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations

Process Improvement & Systems

Drive improvements in financial processes, controls, and reporting standards

Support implementation and optimisation of finance systems

Strengthen governance and reporting as the group continues to scale

Strategic Support

Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making

Partner with non-finance stakeholders across the business

Support new entity setups and evolving group reporting requirements

Assist with year-end processes and liaise with external accountants

 

What We’re Looking For

Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent experience (QBE considered)

Strong experience in management accounts within a multi-entity or SME environment (5 years)

Proven experience managing or supervising finance teams (5 years)

Experience working in growing or evolving businesses

Strong Excel skills and financial reporting capability

Familiarity with systems such as Xero and Fathom

Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Strong communicator with the ability to engage non-finance stakeholders

Comfortable working in a changing, fast-paced environment and driving improvements
